2024 Buick Envista Touring Sport Embraces New Design Language

The all-new crossover emerges as a beacon for the future as the brand rolls out its new vehicle design language.

The all-new 2024 Buick Envista emerges as a beacon of innovation and style, marking the first vehicle to fully embrace Buick's new design language. The Envista was first introduced to the North American consumers by General Motors in April 2023. The Envista is a crossover with the riding dynamics of a sedan offering drivers a blend of sophistication and performance across its three distinct trim levels: Preferred, Sport Touring (ST), and Avenir. All three trims will feature front-wheel drive.

Bold Sport Accents

Buick's new design language is immediately apparent with this all-new Envista, with its striking front fascia that incorporates signature LED daytime running lamps above a wide, low-mounted gloss-black mesh grille giving the very dramatic look that flows effortlessly from front to back. When I first saw the vehicle, the rear deck slope reminded me of the '68 fastbacks that were so popular in the late sixties. When you toss on some 10-spoke gloss back wheels and an ocean blue metallic paint scheme, the Envista gives an exclusive, assertive appearance assuring this entry-level crossover will turn some heads in the segment.

Tranquil Driving Experience

The interior design language compliments the new exterior language by putting the driver and their passengers in a sanctuary of quiet and comfort with the QuietTuningTM system featuring Active Noise Cancellation. This system, which is rarely provided on entry-level vehicles, allows the cabin to remain tranquil, shielding occupants from unwanted exterior noise for an enjoyable driving experience. Modern amenities run amuck throughout the Envista Sport which is highlighted by the ultrawide infotainment display that combines an 8-inch screen for driver instruments and a segment-leading 11-inch infotainment screen for impressive diagonal 19-inches of easy viewing. The new language is also visible by the attention to detail with stitched elements adorning the front door panels and dashboard and the front seats are Envista Preferred cloth seating with leatherette trim and accent stitching. All of this is complemented with a bold ST logo on the front headrests and a heated flat-bottom D sport steering wheel. To ensure maximum comfort the Envista offers an 8-way power-adjustable driver seat with 2-way power-adjustable lumbar support and a 2-way adjustable passenger seat. Practicality meets luxury with seating for up to five occupants with second-row passengers getting a generous amount of legroom while still providing 20.7 cubic feet of cargo space behind the rear seats and 42 cubic feet with the 40/60 split-folding rear seats down.

Buick Envista is going to shake up the small SUV segment.

Purpose Built Performance

The Envista Sport Touring trim is purpose-built for the city, offering drivers the power to get ahead with its refined performance and nimble maneuverability. Whether tackling weekday commutes or embarking on weekend adventures, the Envista ensures that every journey is optimized for maximum enjoyment. Under the hood lies a turbocharged 1.2L inline-three ECOTEC engine that delivers a gutsy 137 horsepower and 162 pound-feet of torque. The Envista is a front-wheel drive configuration vehicle that is paired with a responsive six-speed automatic transmission effortlessly navigating suburban streets with confidence and efficiency. I was impressed with how the inline-3 effortlessly got up to speed and merged into the high-speed Dallas traffic.

Seamless Safety Technology

Through the seamless integration of advanced systems Buick through the Envista exemplifies its commitment to delivering intuitive solutions that prioritize both safety and simplicity on the road. There is an array of driver assistance technologies that ensure safety and convenience for every journey.
