Review: 2021 Volkswagen Atlas V6 SEL Premium R-Line

Practical design and a contemporary interior give this three-row sport utility vehicle a new look for a new decade.

Touting a new look for a new decade, the 2021 Volkswagen Atlas is bringing comfort and convenience to the American market. This three-row sport utility vehicle not only has a contemporary interior cabin with a premium feel, but there's also plenty of room inside for up to seven passengers to spread out on available V-Tex leatherette seating surfaces while enjoying Climatronic® 3-zone automatic climate control. The Atlas, launched in the USA in 2017, is powered either by a 235-horsepower four-cylinder turbocharged engine or by a 276-horsepower 3.6L V6 engine. The power is further complemented by standard equipment including an 8-speed automatic transmission, LED headlights, and App-Connect as a smart phone interface. Innovative technology also includes keyless access and wireless charging for compatible devices as well as driver assist features like dynamic road sign display, park assist, area view, and more hands-on semi-autonomous capabilities. The available touchscreen navigation system with dynamic route guidance helps make the map more prominent, and the digital cockpit display offers high resolution information and personalized customization options.

Safety is a core value to us. And while we can't predict everything you might encounter, we can and do spend long hours trying to help you prepare for it.

And because the pickup truck is a vehicle that makes even large objects really easy to transport, there's lots of Americans who are downright crazy about them. And it's not just out in the wide open spaces that these commercial vehicles with an open truck bed help many people enjoy life to the full. There are a lot of people driving about in these distinctive trucks in cities as well. However, the pickup truck now has some new competition. Today, four of the ten best-selling vehicles in the USA are compact SUVs. While two pickup trucks have claimed the top spot on the bestseller list, the third spot has now been taken by an SUV. These all-rounders, much loved all over the world, are also proving to be increasingly popular among Americans, with almost half of all new vehicles coming from this segment.
